This is an exciting position in the Aorta Clinic multidisciplinary program, which connects and follows one defined (anyursm) patient population to the specialties of Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, and Vascular Surgery. Provide high touch, standardized, and reliable patient interactions.Outpatient clinic position. It will begin with training with the docs with the goal of them working more independently in the future. Lots of education/training initially, building knowledge and a trusting relationship with the docs. They may have visits with patients to review images and such but, initially, this will be in tandem with the doc - or after the APP has understood the docs plan and relates to the patient, answering any questions they have. Phone and in person visits. Five 8-hour shifts; Mon - Fri GENERAL SUMMARY: The Specialty/Invasive Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The Specialty/Invasive NP will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first line provider to patients and their families. Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care. Works in collaboration with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently. Specific procedures as per credentialing as indicated by training and experience. Works in one of the following departments: Cardiovascular Medicine, Emergency Medicine, ICU, Interventional Radiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Surgery, Urgent Care, Urology. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Master's degree in nursing. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner. Current State license as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS. Current ACLS/ATLS/PALS provider status as required by department. x Additional Information
