Description

Developing statistical methods to analyze complex traits and omics data, e.g. proteomics, evaluate methods to estimate heritability and genetic correlations, develop methods for estimation of polygenic risk scores, and detection of pleiotropy and interactions. In addition, analyzing complex trait sequence data that include admixed populations and family data e.g. late-onset Alzheimer's disease, age-related hearing impairment, tinnitus, asthma, and obesity. The successful candidate will also write and publish manuscripts and give presentations at international meetings.


Qualifications


  • Ph.D. or related degree in bioinformatics, statistics, physics, epidemiology, genetics, computer science or another computational or biological related field.
  • Previous experience analyzing next-generation sequence or genotype array data is highly desirable.
  • It is also advantageous to have working knowledge in one or more programming languages e.g., R, Python or C .
