Columbia University in the City of New York: Columbia University Irving Medical Center: Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons: Pathology Location 02 Open Date Nov 02, 2024 Salary Range or Pay Grade $260,000-$450,000 Description The Department of Pathology and Cell Biology and the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center (HICCC), Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons (VP&S), Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) is seeking a visionary leader to guide, promote and develop clinical and scientific innovation in genomic pathology with experience in advancing clinical and research grade molecular testing for cancer. The successful candidate must be board-certified in Pathology, NIH funded, and demonstrate an established history of commitment to research, education, mentorship, leadership, and excellence in academic pathology. The Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center (HICCC) is the home for cancer research and patient care at Columbia University and NewYork-Presbyterian (Columbia University Irving Medical Center). The HICCC is one of only 57 National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the United States and has more than 200 members across six schools at Columbia University with more than $37 million in National Cancer Institute funding and over $120 million in cancer grants. The Department of Pathology and Cell Biology is home to 50 research groups with a wide variety of research interests, including cell biology, cancer biology, neurodegeneration, metabolism and diabetes, and stem cell biology. Significant start-up packages will be available to the successful candidate who will be expected to develop a dynamic research program and participate in graduate teaching.
