The Position
2025 Summer Intern - Early Clinical Development Department Summary Genentech's Research and Early Development (gRED) Early Clinical Development (ECD) organization is responsible for developing and executing early development clinical strategies and plans to provide proof-of-concept data with respect to safety, efficacy, and the utility of biomarkers for gRED new molecular entities. Working with the Ophthalmology group team, the intern will support a project focused on conducting imaging data analyses on clinical trial data in age-related macular degeneration (AMD) to investigate the relationship of images from multiple modalities, establish a reliable workflow for cross-modality image registration, and further evaluate the correlation between structural appearance and functional changes. This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site or Fully remote. The Opportunity

Who You Are (Required) Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria: - Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student). - Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student). Required Majors: Biomedical engineer, Computer Science, Computational Biology, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Bioinformatics, or a related field. Preferably with a thesis on a medical imaging related topic Required Skills:

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of STATE is $45-$50 hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
