What you will do

Reports to: Account Customer Business Manager

Where: Dedicated to service at Samford University

  • Performs assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration andCommissioning tools.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and Controls problems.
  • Provides assistance with general building maintenance and repairs as needed in support of facility operations.

How you will do it

  • Loads system-level controller software.
  • Performs basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers toEnd devices (e.g., sensors, actuators, etc.) and completes all required commissioning.
  • Documentation & Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.
  • Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.
  • Performs basic maintenance as needed on building systems to include electrical, plumbing, mechanical and finishes.
  • Completes administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense, training and goals.
  • Completes assigned Preventive and Corrective maintenance using CMMS system as needed
  • Reports, and on-site documentation.
  • Documents change and provide information for as-built documentation.
  • Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.

What we look for

Required:

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude. Able to use hand tools.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Attention to detail. Good communication and listening skills.
  • 2-4 years of experience Installing/commissioning electronic and/or mechanical control systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems. Proficient withtest equipment and software tools related to commissioning of controls systems.
  • Understanding of electrical circuitry as it pertains to HVAC controls and their operation.
  • Understanding the engineering process and documenting job progress. Demonstrated ability toaccurately and efficiently startup and commission more advanced controls systems.
  • Experience with general commercial building maintenance of facilities and systems a plus.
