Director, NCH Cancer Services | Radiation Oncology

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Director, NCH Cancer Services | Radiation Oncology
  • Hourly Pay Range: $61.80 - $95.79. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
  • Location: Northwest Community Hospital. Arlington Heights, IL
  • Full Time: Full Time
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

General Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President, Hospital Operations, maintains responsibility and 24-hour accountability for the direct operation of the Radiation Oncology and Infusion departments. Works with the Vice President, Service Lines, in a matrix organizational structure for the strategic development, implementation, and ongoing operations of the Cancer Service Line. Facilitates planning, business, operational, human resources, medical staff relations, quality, marketing, and philanthropic management. Ensures patient care is provided in accordance with all standards of care applicable. Directs activities of the Cancer Registry, Cancer Education, Support Services, Clinical Trials, Interdisciplinary Cancer Center, Infusion Center, Radiation Therapy and Medical Physics departments. Ensures utilization of the nursing process overseeing the delivery of patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation of patient outcomes and that plans of care are revised as indicated.

What you will need:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required, a Master's degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a cancer services treatment center environment required. Two years of experience in service line administration strongly preferred. Working knowledge of the effects and outcomes of cancer.
