Operates and maintains furnaces, stokers, boilers and related equipment and oversees the work of Building Service Helpers. Must hold an American Society of Power Engineers, Inc. (A.S.O.P.E.) Facility Operating Engineers Third Class License (or higher). ***A copy of The American Society of Power Engineers, Inc. (A.S.O.P.E.) THE SELECTION PROCESS: will be job related and will consist of one or more of the following: education and experience evaluation; written, oral or performance tests; or other assessment methods. The Office of Human Resources reserves the right to call only the most qualified candidates to oral and performance examinations. Oral examinations may include written exercises. Selection process component weights will be determined by further analysis of the job. *Internal applicants will be evaluated for satisfactory performance and attendance prior to testing. *Candidates must be able to work a varied shift start time or be assigned to early morning or late evening shifts.
