Location: Milwaukee, WI + travel to supported US & Canadian locations Office/Hybrid/Remote: Hybrid; Requires three in-office days per week during non-travel weeks PURPOSE AND SCOPE The Human Resource Manager is responsible for managing and providing leaders guidance on a variety of human resources functions to support building trust, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and the company's strategic goals for the multi-site districts of the Arbon Equipment business, a Rite-Hite company. This position participates as a key member of the districts' leadership team providing guidance and people solutions that support HR and enterprise strategy. This position involves all aspects of the employee life cycle including support for recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, performance management, talent development, and compliance to legal regulations and company policies. The HR Manager acts as a key resource for both employees and leaders, promoting a positive and productive workplace culture. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned. Talent Development o Support managers in identifying talent, developing training and job experience plans to support succession planning at the front-line leader and key contributor position and enhance employee knowledge of the business and the industry o Support continuous learning and skill development across teams. o Supports the company's diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and practices. o Coach and guide leaders as they develop members of their team. o Advises and provides leaders guidance on the performance and compensation review process for supported job transactions such as new hires, transfers, promotion, lateral/demotion position changes. Performance Management o Support managers in the performance review process, providing guidance on best practices in alignment with talent philosophy. o Facilitate goal-setting and career development discussions. o Support managers in the development and execution of performance improvement plans and corrective action when necessary. Employee Relations o Serve as an escalation point for employees and a resource to leaders and a variety of topics to include compliance, workplace policies, compensation and benefits, performance, development, and workplace interactions. o Conduct investigations and review investigation outcomes and corrective action information to understand trends and proactively identify training and solutions. o Address and resolve employee concerns and issues in a fair and consistent manner to include the review and support the delivery of corrective action. o Manages district HR performance against distribution and enterprise goals in safety and sustainability, customer centric, and operational excellence strategy o Prepare and analyze HR data for the purpose of sharing with leaders, identifying trends, and actively solutioning for improved business results. Supported Talent Acquisition o Support hiring managers to review staffing plans, define job requirements, and recruiting plans to include partnered interviewing and providing guidance on selection recommendations with hiring manager for exempt and key contributor positions. o Support managers in the development of onboarding plans and conduct new hire orientation and training sessions as required with Distribution HR Team. o Partner with leaders to determine compensation for new hire offers against company compensation philosophy with an understanding of total rewards and the ability to guide a leader through having successful total rewards conversations with candidates. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manages an HR team, which may include HR Generalist(s) and/or HR Coordinator(s.) EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS o Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. o 7+ years of experience in Human Resources with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a field service or manufacturing environment; multiple sites in multiple states experience preferred; 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred. o Demonstrated knowledge and experience with HR principles, best practices, and local, state, and federal regulations. o Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. o Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and effectively present information to a variety of audiences and through multiple mediums. o High attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with strong ability to prioritize, organize, problem-solve, think strategically, and work well under pressure with multiple projects and deadlines. o Demonstrated conflict resolution and negotiation skills. o Strong listening, verbal, and oral communication skills, fluency in English language (read, write, speak) required. o Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office suite. o Certification in HR (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred. o This role requires up to 30% travel to supported US and Canadian locations. A valid US driver's license and passport are required.
