Under supervision, performs and records all sonographic procedures and assists with some specialty procedures in accordance with established departmental guidelines and protocols. Operates various types of ultrasound equipment, transducers, and recording devices. Recognizes normal and pathological conditions and modifies the exam accordingly to ensure complete and accurate high quality information is obtained. Prepares and positions patient for procedure by using established Ultrasound protocols to achieve the highest quality image. Reviews, verifies and evaluates images to ensure excellent image quality. Trouble shoots and resolves ultrasound related PACS issues. Participates in performance improvement projects within the department. Floats within department as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Duties are to be performed at a Practitioner Level. Floats to specialty unit (if qualified). Assists with mentoring of junior ultrasound technologists and students as needed. Assists other ultrasound technologists with difficult procedures that require advanced skills. Depending on the experience and verified certifications of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at the Ultrasound Tech or Sr. Ultrasound Tech.
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $118,390 - $147,225 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $56.70 - $70.51 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
