The Compliance Specialist will conduct on site reviews of documentation and provide related compliance oversight and assistance to meet contractual and organizational requirement. Coordinates and oversees all activities related to federal, state and agency programmatic compliance specialist.



  • Mission & Professionalism: Uphold CW's mission and values while demonstrating professionalism in all tasks.

  • Compliance Oversight and Documentation: Conduct on-site reviews of documentation to ensure compliance with contractual and organizational requirements. Meet with state and federal auditors, providing required documentation during audits. Review and interpret laws, regulations, and business requirements, recommending policy and procedural changes as needed. Conduct periodic reviews of client service documentation and communicate findings to relevant personnel. Ensure required postings are visible and accessible at program sites.

  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs aligned with federal, state, and agency compliance requirements. Monitor and maintain training logs, ensuring documentation of certifications and licenses is up to date. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and update them as necessary to improve outcomes. Identify staff training needs through communication with supervisors, managers, and staff feedback. Act as a liaison with external agencies and funding sources to ensure mandated training compliance.

  • Auditing and Monitoring: Conduct case record reviews, identify gaps in documentation, and assist in obtaining missing records. Perform regular checks on logs (e.g., Red book, training logs, and time studies) to ensure accuracy and compliance. Monitor implementation of Plans of Correction and follow up on their progress. Compile data and prepare reports for accreditation entities, performance reviews, and compliance assessments.

  • Policy and Process Improvement: Assist in researching and developing policies, procedures, and instructional materials. Participate in organizational reviews, accreditation preparations, and satisfaction surveys. Assist with agency investigations into abuse and neglect, including reviewing cases and making recommendations.

  • General Responsibilities: Collaborate with managers and staff to maintain a culture of compliance and continuous improvement. Ensure all activities support the organization's mission and values. Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • Additonal Experience: 3 years of relevant experience as noted above may be substituted for the degree requirement.

  • Additional Requirements: Valid Driver's License and ability to travel locally to business locations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, SharePoint and Excel).

  • Office Environment: The position primarily operates in an office setting, requiring work at a desk using a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment.

  • Physical Activity: Frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Occasional bending, stooping, and lifting up to 25 pounds. The role may require physically assisting clients or staff during activities.

  • Visual and Hearing Acuity: Ability to see and hear clearly for effective supervision and interaction with staff, clients, and community partners in both office and community settings.

  • Travel: The position may require occasional travel to various community locations, employer sites, and external meetings within the region.

  • Emotional and Behavioral Management: Potential exposure to clients in various emotional or behavioral states, requiring the ability to manage situations effectively and professionally.

  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with staff, clients, and external partners.

  • Work Conditions: Exposure to typical office conditions, with occasional outdoor settings depending on community-based activities.
