Overview

The Creative Services Leader is instrumental in defining and advancing Waters' outstanding brand. This leader will guide the marketing team in redefining the corporate brand strategy and creative vision into a unified product brand strategy, brand story, and actionable plan based on our value proposition, product experience, and market trends. This role champions and communicates the brand narrative across the organization, ensuring alignment from advertising and digital campaigns to customer-facing product experiences. The ideal candidate brings a consistent record to implement customer-centric, data-driven, and engaging strategies that bring a brand to life.



Responsibilities

    Lead the visual direction and execution of all Waters product branding campaigns, including the development and management of brand guidelines.
  • Train the creative team and Waters Division collaborators on brand guidelines to ensure consistent global execution of the brand.
  • Oversee the internal creative team-including graphic designers, video editors, and production managers-to deliver outstanding external creative that upholds Water's brand voice and business objectives.
  • Work cross-functionally and collaboratively to present a cohesive and compelling brand experience and marketing campaigns for our target customers to build awareness, engagement, sales, and customer engagement. Effort includes creatively crafting digital campaigns, tradeshow designs, email templates, online banners, and other outbound marketing materials.
  • Act as the liaison with internal and external creative teams to communicate brief requirements, provide feedback, identify needs, and implement systems for efficient project workflow management.
  • Interpret non-expert feedback, pivot between projects, collaborate often with collaborators, and socialize creative decisions anchored in a strong understanding of project and client requirements verses personal style or preference.
  • Evaluate creative work and provide art direction to team members, as well as lead your own portfolio of design projects.
  • Lead all aspects of creative projects by running workloads and implementing efficient operating procedures to ensure timely project delivery and seamless project trafficking.
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members, translating concepts and vision into clear, actionable project assignments and guidelines.
  • Be responsible for the performance and results of third-party vendors and freelance contributors to ensure alignment with project standards.
  • Lead photo shoot process including developing a shot list, hiring photographer, tagging/naming images.
  • Lead department budget allocations ensuring effective project spending.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of brand management experience, including leading creative teams and outside agencies.
  • Experience running an internal agency model.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership.
  • Excellent creative, analytical, and business sense.
  • Demonstrated expert creative, innovative, and graphic design abilities with a strong portfolio.
  • Effective storytelling, great communication, and presentation skills adaptable for audiences at all levels across the organization.
  • Skilled at extracting insights from diverse data sources and translating them into actionable, measurable strategies and plans aimed at building a lasting brand.
  • Strong ability to challenge the status quo and pursue new ways of thought.
  • Highly self-motivated and comfortable in an environment that requires learning and adapting quickly to changing industry trends.
  • Familiarity with the life sciences industry is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in graphic design, fine arts, marketing, or other related fields, required.
