Description

The Transportation Dispatcher is responsible for supervising 5-12 company truck drivers transporting parts, components, and equipment to and from customer, vendor, and company locations and job sites. Knowledge of equipment used by all divisions is a requirement for this position. Success in this position requires the ability to effectively communicate with customers, vendors, and coworkers. The Dispatcher will demonstrate initiative, commitment to teamwork, enthusiasm for customer service, and dedication to finding solutions in an efficient manner. The Dispatcher will advance in classification as attitude, skill level, and job performance allows.




  • Answer incoming phone calls
  • Provide price quotations and delivery times
  • Schedule equipment hauling
  • Dispatch company truck drivers
  • Handle internal billing procedures
  • Supervise 5-12 truck drivers, adjust payroll, and complete performance reviews
  • Ensure DOT and company safely regulations and procedures are adhered to
  • Ensure preventive maintenance on truck is performed as required
  • Keeps accurate records of all work
  • Maintains an organized workspace
  • Share responsibility for after-hours calls
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor

Qualifications
Education
High School or Equivalent (required)
Experience
Candidates for this position must possess strong mechanical aptitude. Experience using personal computers and basic typing skills are required for this position. (required)
