Location: Hybrid (Massachusetts or Connecticut, preferred)

Job Type: Regular Full-time

What's the Opportunity?

Anchor QEA is seeking a full-time, senior engineer or scientist in Massachusetts or Connecticut. Specifically, we are interested in a candidate that is a Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) registered in the State of Connecticut. If the candidate is also a Licensed Site Professional (LSP) registered in the State of Massachusetts, that would be preferred but is not a requirement. Anchor QEA currently conducts environmental work, with special focus on remediation and revitalization to support our mission of improving our communities and are looking to expand our reach and capabilities to further our mission. The candidate should possess the ability to help us expand our brand, is detail-orientated, is a committed team player, and possesses strong written and verbal communication skills. This position will manage projects in both upland and aquatic environments. Successful candidates will have an opportunity to work on a variety of projects in team environments, learn directly from leaders in the industry, and provide mentoring to our junior staff. Note that Anchor QEA has two offices in the Boston area; however, allowances to work within a home office will be considered as part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities:



  • Serve as the LEP on state-led projects in Connecticut and the LSP on state-led projects in Massachusetts (preferred but not required).
  • Serves as the regulatory, technical point-of-contact supporting cleanup and re-development projects, and manages all project aspects, including but not limited to, remedial investigation work plans, data summary reports, feasibility studies, remedial designs, permits and regulatory approvals, and maintenance and monitoring reports.
  • Provides technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and scientists.
  • Is the primary coordinator between project team members, clients, and regulators.
  • Develops client relationships, leads proposals, and contribute to the sales process.
  • Ensures that work products are prepared in accordance with Anchor QEA's quality management program and appropriate regulations.


What Are We Looking For?

Ideal candidates will have the following:



  • Current LEP certification and LSP certification preferred
  • BS or MS degree in a relevant environmental field
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience as a LEP and LSP preferred
  • Experience with managing projects in both upland and aquatic environments
  • Experience in project and program management including developing and managing scopes, detailed schedules, budgets, and sub-consultants
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to occasionally travel for projects or client meetings
