The Airframe Paint Specialist, performs resealing and paint touch-up of aircraft surfaces following aircraft maintenance according to manufacturer's specifications, Duncan Aviation approved procedures and customer specifications using proper tooling, Personal Protection Equipment and Fall Protection in a safe and clean environment. This position prepares and completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner; and provides OJT for other airframe paint specialists.

Essential Job Functions



  1. Reseals panels and other surfaces on aircraft using manufacturer's specified sealant and Duncan Aviation approved procedures.



  1. Performs paint touch-up work in accordance with Duncan Aviation approved procedures.



  1. Prepares various documents for record keeping purposes, as required by Company policy and FAA regulations (i.e. turnovers, removal sheets, W.O. Sheets, personal training log).



  1. Provides OJT for other airframe paint specialists.



  1. Performs other duties as assigned by management



Job Specific Requirements



  • Licenses/Certificates: Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; Man Lift qualified; tool inventory per department tool list required
  • Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required
  • Physical: Reads small print; repetitive motion; tolerates working in confined spaces and heights above four feet; tolerates products and materials associated with component maintenance; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting
  • Environmental: Tolerates extreme temperatures and noisy environments|



Education and Experience

Airframe Paint Specialist I:



  • High School education or equivalent required
  • Minimum one year previous mechanical or auto-body work experience required


Airframe Paint Specialist II:



  • High School education or equivalent required
  • Minimum one year previous aviation paint experience required


Airframe Paint Specialist III:



  • High School education or equivalent required
  • Minimum of three years aircraft paint experience required
