Position Summary

The Program Manager will be responsible for managing multiple projects in RealTruck's New Product Development Process. They will lead a cross functional team to deliver the projects on time, within budget, and with a quality product. The position is expected to track all activities and be able to communicate effectively to all stakeholders, both internal and external.

CORE FUNCTIONS



  • Oversee multiple projects, ensuring program goals are reached and delivered to schedule.
  • Utilize Program Management software to effectively track process deliverables.
  • Lead weekly cross-functional team meetings to ensure successful outcomes for both internal and external customers.
  • Lead and engage in trouble shooting with the team to develop options for success during complex situations.
  • Assure adherence to corporate New Product Development (NPD) process deliverables.
  • Work closely with Category Management team, cross-functional teams, and operations to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing for new projects.
  • Lead problem solving discussion when required for a project.
  • Demonstrate the ability to influence project stakeholders.
  • Identify key requirements for cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for managers and stakeholders.
  • Present to leadership for gate approvals and monthly reporting meetings.


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Engineering, manufacturing, or business.
  • 4+ years of program management experience required. Aftermarket and/or OEM product experience in an automotive environment is a bonus.
  • Experience managing within cross functional teams and matrix style organizations.


Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge



  • Firm grasp of a gated process approach to managing projects.
  • Proficiency with standard software applications (MS Excel, Word, Power point, Project), and familiarity with other web-based applications.
  • Ability to effectively present information to management.
  • Strong, professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiar with common business practices, financial calculations, and ability to track program costs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Ability to drive the cross functional team to accomplish program deliverables while utilizing the RealTruck New Product Development Process.


Travel



  • Occasional travel is required, approximately 10-20% to meet supplier and internal/external customer needs. Ability to travel to supporting plants in the US and Mexico.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • This position is subject to sedentary work; Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.


Physical Activities



  • This position is subject to the following physical activities: walking, talking, hearing, and the use of hands, wrists, or fingers in repetitive motions.


Visual Acuity



  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.


Working Conditions



  • This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
