Description

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Project Specialist to work in our Research Accelerator Department department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our EROB Facility in Idaho Falls with every other Friday off.

You will provide support services for programs and projects according to laboratory requirements. Services include budgeting and scheduling, contracts and procurements, documents and records management, document and graphic services, and clerical support. You will report to the Manager for the Research Accelerator Department.

Responsibilities Include:



  • Help develop technical, schedule, and budget baselines and maintain them during project execution.
  • Support procurements of equipment and staff logistical needs.
  • Support teams with product delivery according to project requirements.
  • Support project managers to coordinate task activities and ensure all phases of the task(s) are documented appropriately.
  • As requested, coordinate asset management, program logistics, and procurement activities.
  • Develop and standardize processes to address project needs including ordering, purchasing, receiving, tracking, deployment and organizing equipment and products for assigned projects.
  • Support project managers to develop documents such as execution plans, project plans, and operational guidelines.
  • Track team activities.
  • Coordinate internal/external activities to support project requirements.
  • Mentor other staff and subcontractors for project performance.



    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    Preferred degrees in Business, Administration, Project Management, Logistics Management, or related subject areas.



    • Level 2: Bachelor's and 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master's and 0 years of relevant experience.
    • Level 3: Bachelor's and 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's and 2 years of relevant experience.
    • Relevant experience includes working in technically focused groups or projects. It also includes planning, coordinating, and supporting customer specific deliverables, testing, subcontracts management, scheduling, resource planning, and other project coordination related activities.
    • Experience developing project plans and schedules, cost estimates, assisting with and resource allocation, and project management software.
    • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

    Job Information:



    • The pay range for this position is: Level 2 ($56,196 - $109,644) / Level 3 ($65,064 - $133,416). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
    • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
    • Multi-Level: This is a multi-level posting and you will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on depth and breadth of proven experience and skills.
