Dover Precision Components is hiring a Manufacturing Process Engineer- CNC Programmer at our Cook Compression facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana. We offer competitive pay and benefits and the ability to be a key contributor on the Engineering team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Design, develop, and implement processes to enhancethe capacity, quality, and efficiency of manufacturing methods in a CNC manufacturing environment.
  • Program multi- axis CNC equipment using GibsCam and Mazatrol to customer design specifications.
  • Work with Operations team to make operational adjustments as necessary by reviewing daily reports to ensure continued growth in productivity and efficiency.
  • Apply Lean principles to optimize work/process flow, set-up time reduction and quick change over.
  • Document standard work including creation of work instructions, recording and analyzing cycle times, and value stream mapping.
  • Champion safety values across the facility.
  • Plan and implement the layouts of plant, office, and production equipment to provide the maximum utilization of facilities and efficiency of production.
  • Perform and monitor preventative and corrective maintenance and repair activities to the facility and its machines and equipment.
  • Research, evaluate and recommend new maintenance equipment and tools.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • 2+ years' experience in CNC programming, preferably including GibsCam/ MasterCam experience.
  • Ability to read drawings and sketches and interpret design ideas.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally to develop and implement improvement ideas.
  • Exceptional problem solving, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Practical knowledge of continuous improvement and lean concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership and work independently and with others.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and relevant engineering software

ALSO GREAT IF YOU BRING/ PREFERENCES

  • Bachelors or associates degree in engineering or related field.
  • Strong technology skills, including eMaintenance, Syteline, GibbsCAM, Mazak Programming Software, Predator, and MS Office.
  • In- depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic hardware.
  • Understanding of reciprocating compressors and the function of major components in the oil & gas industry.
