Global Furniture Group is seeking a dynamic and motivated Accounting Intern to join our finance team. This internship presents an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in various accounting functions within a global corporate environment. The selected candidate will work closely with our finance professionals and contribute to the day-to-day financial operations of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in processing invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Support the accounts receivable process, including customer invoicing and collections.
  • Participate in the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger records.
  • Generate financial reports and assist in the preparation of management reports.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the audit team to provide documentation and support during audits.
  • Assist in addressing audit queries and implementing recommendations.
  • Contribute to special projects as needed, providing support to various departments within the finance function.

Qualifications include:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
