Job Summary

The Analyst, IT Governance will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of a global IT governance framework and structure at Darling. The purpose of this role is to support the Sr. Manager, IT Governance & Compliance and the global governance team to improve the overall maturity level of IT processes as well as facilitate effective and efficient cooperation between the different parts of the organization. This role will help analyze and document existing processes, compare them to best practice frameworks, and suggest & implement improvements.

  • Maintain and implement global IT governance model & structure tailored to Darling's needs, with a specific focus on North America.
  • Analyze, document, and implement process improvements.
  • Standardize IT processes and procedures where appropriate.
  • Assist in executing strategic communication plans, maintaining documentation, minutes, action lists, goals and metrics reports.
  • Communicate and explain IT governance updates to IT and business colleagues.

  • Highly organized; superior time management skills.
  • Strong written communication skills; clearly identifies problems & solutions.
  • Self-motivated; self-starter; extroverted personality.
  • Work well with all levels of the corporation.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Strong documentation skills using Microsoft Visio or similar process visualization tools.
  • Available to travel internationally as needed.

Desirable Education/Experience

  • Data analysis experience.
  • Experience in ITSM and/or IT process governance.
  • Knowledge of best practice IT Governance and process improvement methodologies, such as COBIT, CMMI, ITIL, or Six Sigma.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, bend, and kneel
  • Frequently lifts up to 10 lbs.
  • Long periods spent sitting at desk in front of computer screen.
  • Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out in an office environment.
