Compliance Management and Oversight



  • Develop, implement, and manage company compliance programs specific to federal government contracts, ensuring adherence to federal acquisition regulations (FAR), DFAR, DTR, and other relevant guidelines.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely updates to internal policies and procedures to reflect new requirements and best practices.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess and verify compliance with federal regulations and company policies.



Risk Management and Contracting



  • Identify potential legal and compliance risks associated with federal government contracts, providing proactive recommendations to mitigate such risks.
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and negotiation of federal government contracts, subcontracts, and other legal documents to ensure compliance and minimize liabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and finance, to support contract compliance throughout the procurement and contract management process.



Training and Policy Development



  • Develop and deliver training programs for employees on compliance issues, including government contracting policies, ethical business practices, and relevant legal updates.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive compliance policies, procedures, and manuals to support adherence to federal government requirements and company standards.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on federal contracting compliance, providing ongoing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.



Regulatory Research and Monitoring



  • Maintain current understanding of federal regulations, agency requirements, and industry standards affecting company operations and government contracting.
  • Stay informed of developments in federal acquisition regulations and guidance, interpreting and applying regulatory changes to ensure continued compliance.


Individual Profile



  • Background in compliance or contract management roles with a focus on U.S. federal government contracts (e.g., DoD, DHS, or other federal agencies)
  • Advanced understanding of legal principles, ideally demonstrated through a relevant legal qualification (e.g., JD, LLB, LLM or equivalent), with proven experience in interpreting and applying legal concepts in a business, regulatory, or compliance setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation), DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement), and other relevant federal procurement regulations.
  • Hands-on experience developing, implementing, and managing compliance programs specifically tailored to federal contracting requirements.
  • Proven track record of conducting audits, assessments, and internal reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess risk and make informed decisions regarding compliance strategy and risk mitigation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting compliance policies, reports, and training materials.
  • Experience advising cross-functional teams (legal, HR, operations) on compliance matters.


  • Enforce terms of existing contracts with business partners, subcontractors (SubKs), and vendors
  • Provide expert Federal proposal support for development of responses to RFI and RFP responses
  • Establish and maintain positive contract relationships with clients, subcontractors, and our primes



Essential Skills/Qualifications:



  • Excellent experience analyzing contract terms and conditions ensuring compliance with federal government regulations, corporate policies, and legal best practices (e.g., Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Subcontract Agreements, Contract Modifications/Amendments)
  • Excellent experience maintaining contract documentation, tracking contract performance, and ensuring timely submission of contract deliverables and reports
  • Above average experience conducting detailed reviews of federal government solicitations, contract terms and conditions, and providing recommendations regarding potential risks or opportunities in contract language
  • Above average experience supporting the full federal government contract lifecycle, from proposal preparation and submission to contract closeout
  • Above average knowledge of federal government procurement processes, the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and agency acquisition regulations
  • Experience participating in federal government proposal reviews against contract requirements
  • Excellent collaboration skills
  • Excellent experience using the Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word)
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent judgment with proven ability to identify problems and deal with complex issues
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly on challenging, complex, and difficult issues to develop solutions that address root causes
  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Flexible, adaptable, and resourceful when managing changing timelines and multiple deliverables



Minimum/General Experience:5 years of recent contract administration experience supporting a federal government contractor; National Contract Management Association Certified Professional Contract Manager, Certified Federal Contract Manager, or Certified Contract Management Associate (preferred)

Minimum Education:Bachelors' Degree in Business Administration or related field

For this position, the expected base pay is: $74,500 - $111,500 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
