Summary

As a Logistics Coordinator at DSV, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of goods, materials, and products from suppliers to customers. You will work closely with various departments within the company to ensure that shipments are delivered on time, within budget, and according to customer specifications. You will also be responsible for tracking shipments, managing inventory levels, and resolving any issues that may arise during the shipping process.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Coordinate and manage the movement of goods from suppliers to customers

* Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure shipments are delivered on time and according to customer specifications

* Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs documentation

* Track shipments and manage inventory levels

* Resolve any issues that arise during the shipping process, including delays, damages, and lost shipments

* Maintain accurate records of all shipping transactions

* Monitor transportation costs and work to minimize expenses

* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments

Expediting

BL/IBL Support

* Provide shipping details to the end user for scheduling - Check Global Control Center and SAP for delivery deadlines, Open PO Reports to see what's still to be delivered by the vendor, C2C to see what PO material has been received, MR, Packed, booked for shipping and GR for vendor invoicing, and EDC to see if material has been shipped

* Responsible for all PO accuracy in Global Control Center and meeting review with BL and Procurement

* Ensure all Air freight requests and approvals for urgent items and PML materials are properly updated in Global Control Center and communicated to all respective persons

* Daily interface with the NG IBL team, freight forwarder, packer and vendor to resolve exceptions & OSDs. - Check SAP for change order updates, retrigger POs not accessible in C2C (all hubs), partner incoterms FCA POs in SAP for material being delivered to the freight forwarder (all hubs), provide PDF copies to vendor and freight forwarder if needed (all hubs)

* Extract an Open PO/Backlog/PML/ASN Reports from Global Control Center in alternative to SAP to verify the flow of the POs being awarded and which critical suppliers to focus on

* Assist the freight forwarder with any Goods Receipts to be processed

* Host weekly meetings with IBL, Freight Forwarder, and Vendors to discuss movement of material and, or any issues.

Buying Support

* Support buyers (ExxonMobil Nigeria) with PO amendments in SAP when needed

Vendor Support

* Execute change orders in SAP and Global Control Center for lead dates, part numbers, serial numbers, ready dates and descriptions, to allow material delivery

* Extract and provide a weekly Open PO report of material still to be delivered and request manufacturing/delivery updates to comminate to the BL (apply updates to Global Control Center for client visibility)

* Add emails on canceled items, approved changes to the SAP system and notify the vendor of changes and provide them with an updated PO

* Submit cataloguing requests to have material masters updated in SAP

* Engage with buyers regarding change orders related with pricing

Educational background / Work experience

* A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred but not required.

* At least 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management is preferred.

* Experience working in a transportation or logistics company is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Strong organizational and time management skills

* Attention to detail and accuracy

* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

* Knowledge of transportation regulations and customs requirements

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

* Experience using transportation management software is a plus

Language skills

* Fluency in English is required.

* Fluency in additional languages is a plus.

Computer Literacy

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required.

* Experience using transportation management software is a plus.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $19.25 - $25.75 / Hourly. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
