What You'll Do as an Environmental Field Technician

As an Environmental Field Technician, you'll be a key part of our team. This fast-paced, hands-on role allows you to make an impact by supporting critical field and lab operations. Whether you're collecting samples or ensuring accurate data, customer service, attention to detail, and reliability will be at the heart of everything you do.

Pay: $16-$19 per hour, based on experience + Quarterly Bonuses +OT and Benefits Join a fast-paced, customer-focused team and make a difference today!


Key Responsibilities

  • Pick up samples: Drive to client locations to collect samples. A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record are required.
  • Field testing: Perform testing using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet quality assurance (QA) standards.
  • Instrument maintenance: Calibrate and maintain field testing equipment to guarantee accurate results.
  • Reagent and standards preparation: Prepare materials such as reagents or standards for field and lab testing.
  • Record keeping: Log sample details and maintain thorough documentation of field activities.
  • Work independently: Take ownership of tasks, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Follow guidelines: Adhere to QA and SOP requirements to maintain compliance.
  • Stay organized: Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.


Ideal Candidate Qualities

We're looking for someone who:



  • Is punctual and reliable, with consistent attendance.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys adapting to changes.
  • Has strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excels at customer service, ensuring clients are happy with their experience.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as the role occasionally requires handling compositors, manholes, filled coolers, and other equipment.


Education & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • An associate's degree in a related field is helpful but not necessary.
  • 1-3 years of work experience outside of school is preferred.
  • Experience in an analytical lab or environmental testing is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record (no major violations or multiple offenses).
