Shipping Coordinator

• Coordinate workflow from Assembly, Receiving, Sales and other factory departments as required.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the trucking industry, shipping requirements of customers and freight carriers.
• Communicate with customers, brokers and freight companies to ensure up to date and accurate information is provided.
• Ensure all outbound shipments, documentation and transactions are processed on time.
• Assist with coordinating inbound freight.
• Safely and accurately prepare products for shipment.
• Maintain accurate counts of products.
• Accurately enter information into the SAP program system
• Ensure adequate supplies of shipping and packaging materials, including pallets, boxes, etc. and material handling equipment.
• Participate in cycle counting and physical inventory process.
• Transport, put away and pull stock from inventory locations using forklifts, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
• Instruct and train employees on shipping and stockroom job procedures.
• Create, edit and maintain work instructions and documentation necessary for accurate and up to date communication of information.
• Follow and enforce all attendance, scheduling and safety policies. Inform Supervisor of personnel or safety related matters
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure work area is maintained in a neat and orderly fashion
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
