Department OverviewThe Response & Reporting team solves for safer by developing integrated software solutions that streamline workflows and enable efficient data management across public safety operations, empowering agencies to better serve their communities. Job DescriptionMotorola Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Product Manager to lead the development and go-to-market strategy for its PremierOne CAD product. In this role, the Product Manager will define the product roadmap, understand customer needs and market trends, and contribute to the successful release of the product. The Product Manager will leverage strong analytical and communication skills to translate customer needs into product requirements. The Product Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and sales, to ensure solutions meet the evolving needs of public safety agencies. Responsibilities Product Strategy The product manager is responsible to clearly articulate the business value to the product team so they understand the intent behind the new product or product release. They own the roadmap and must work with the product owner to define, prioritize, and build what matters. Primary responsibilities include:
Product Visioning The product manager must have the ability to identify and understand customer needs and evaluate those against market size and demand to drive product offerings that will help public safety agencies improve their operations while delivering profitability and customer loyalty. Product Development In this role, the product manager champions the need of the user, customer, and other stakeholders throughout the development process to ensure that what is delivered meets the goals, objectives, and desired outcomes of the project. Primary responsibilities include:
Product Releases Product managers must plan for what their teams will deliver and when they will deliver it. The product manager owns the release aspect of the product. Release responsibilities include managing features and dependencies in and across releases, product and support teams; and managing releases with phases and milestones.
