Job Purpose

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America (HDMA) International Supply Chain Import New Model Planner is responsible for the executing assigned Import New Model SAP tasks in correlation with the Department Import NM SAP, work as a liaison between North American Plants, Consolidation Centers & Global Honda Exporters to ensure Mass Production readiness.

In the Import New Model Planner role, it is critical that multiple projects can be maintained in unison so strong Project Management, Organization and Communication skills is required.

Support to the Import New Model Project Lead, Planning Unit and International Supply Chain Department will be expected.

Key Accountabilities

  • Receive daily Packaging Development communications from Global Export Destination and facilitate agreements with North America Plants
  • Receive monthly Packaging Verification from Global Exporters & Manage Packaging Parameters in GPCS to ensure Import Ordering Parameters to be in place for monthly ordering in alignment with the KD Calendar
  • Liaison to communicate & facilitate critical information/requests between NA Plants, CC's and Global Exporters
  • Work with Internal & External Providers to study, manage & report critical Targets & Milestones according to the Import New Model SAP in regard to, Packaging, Ordering, Manpower, Space & Equipment.


Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain (or similar) field or 6 years relevant experience
  • 2-6 years relevant experience
  • Previous experience working in the automotive and/or manufacturing industry preferred

Working Conditions

  • Office and warehouse environment
  • Periods of domestic and international travel
  • Average 5 hours overtime a week
