Electrical Reliability Engineer

The Maintenance Reliability Electrical Engineering (EE) Leader is responsible for leading a group of disciplined engineers and specialists to drive reliability improvement initiatives to achieve desired results in electrical, instrument, and analyzer equipment reliability, process safety, and plant productivity.

Duties:

  • Develop team members to support site goals and initiatives as well as their personal development.
  • Develop and refine a site-level sustainable reliability program that covers electrical, instrument, and analyzer equipment and processes.
  • Assist maintenance team with the scope of repair and turnaround guidance and provide subject matter expert support for maintenance and maintenance procedures.
  • Provide technical assistance and facilitation of training for site personnel.
  • Provide engineering scopes and technical guidance to support the site's capital plan
  • Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis and Reliability Maintenance studies to maximize equipment reliability.
  • Define and optimize predictive and preventive maintenance strategies using techniques such as FMEA, RBI, Criticality Assessments, etc.
  • Continue to improve the reliability tools and methods utilized in increasing plant reliability. Develop and maintain a network of contacts to include professional societies, technical contractors, and company personnel to ensure effective information exchanges.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related experience in the chemical or refining industry with some direct leadership experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Must possess basic computer skills such as e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of SAP or equivalent maintenance management systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of SIS methodology preferred.
  • Excellent experience with power distribution equipment up to 138KV.
