The flight department is responsible for 60,000+ hours of incident and accident-free flying since its inception in 1986. As Parker's in-house flight department, we are committed to providing high value to the company in all its endeavors while safely, efficiently and effectively working together to provide exceptional customer service.

Position Summary

We are looking for a 6-week Summer Intern for our Corporate Flight Department in Cleveland, Ohio. This department consists of a professional team of pilots, maintenance, and dispatch personnel. The department operates a fleet of three corporate jets under FAR Part 91. The Aviation Intern will be an integral part of the department's team and safety culture. The individual will work in all areas involved with the corporate flight operation to include:

Pilot Duties: Work closely with company pilots in the flight planning process to include weather collection, flight plan filing, preflight checks, passenger interaction, weight and balance, aircraft performance calculations, flight risk assessments, Safety Management System to include ISBAO, and in-flight operations

Dispatch Duties: Collect trip details, entering trip data into aviation software, arranging crew/passenger services, crew notification and posting of trip data after completion

Maintenance Duties: Observe and participate in the aircraft inspection process, airworthiness determination, preparation of aircraft for flight

The individual will be given special assignments/projects to help with all department operations. Whenever possible and under the direct supervision of qualified personnel, the individual will perform hands-on functions in all areas of the operation.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate student enrolled in an appropriate bachelor's degree program at an accredited college/university and is entering their Junior/Senior year in Fall 2025
  • Instrument Rating
  • Positive attitude and self-motived work skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to provide own housing and transportation during internship
