As a Portfolio Strategy Manager, you will lead analysis and create recommendations to the Upstream Marketing team, Business Development team and Senior Leaders in Interventional Urology. You will serve as the data-driven consultant and a key member of the team facilitating strategic planning, working cross functionally on M&A analyses, market assessments, distribution partnership evaluation, and providing strategic support to the management team.



Major Areas of Accountability




  • Maintain and improve the quarterly global market model report on market size and growth for all product lines of IU
  • Track competitive landscape and market dynamics and report out findings through the power BI dashboard and ad hoc analyses to key stakeholders
  • Lead the creation of data driven insights from analytics and connecting knowledge between Coloplast data sources
  • Collaborate with IU leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to create, articulate and communicate IU business performance and our strategic plan
  • Engage with customers to gather insights into our products, markets and industry trends
  • Support the evaluation and diligence of M&A and strategic investment opportunities through revenue forecast, competitive analysis, and valuation analysis
  • Lead the strategic analysis around expanding into new markets and launching new business lines
  • Lead the review of inbound innovation from physicians with the support of the IP team
  • Lead VOC engagements with KOLs to build industry knowledge and answer key strategic questions
  • Work with consultants and data providers on market analysis engagements
  • Leads the Portfolio Strategy workstreams on the product rationalization process
  • Leads the market expansion assessment for Portfolio Strategy
  • Prepare market taxonomy and/or market space gap analysis and identify specific potential targets for acquisition, partnership or otherwise
  • Profile, track, contact and engage prospective inorganic targets
  • Prepare discussion, communication and internal approval materials as needed in support of potential opportunities
  • Provide data-driven marketing performance analysis. Translate insights and outcomes into success metrics to support ROI investment decisions for strategic and tactical planning purposes
  • Provide business case modeling support on new product development projects
  • Leads and supports other Portfolio Strategy and Business Development initiatives as the need arises

Basic Qualifications




  • BA or BS degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Math or Statistics; MBA or relevant Masters-level degree preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, marketing analytics or similar function
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc.) and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency and accuracy in producing reporting, data analysis & strategy presentations
  • Ability to tell the story presented by the data in a clear and concise manner
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills

  • Ability to travel, including international and weekend, up to 15%

  • Competitive Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $128,529 - $192,793. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses and/or incentives.
