Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Tester with 508 Compliance Expertise to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing and validating SharePoint environments and applications to ensure they meet functionality, usability, and accessibility standards, with a particular emphasis on Section 508 compliance. The role requires a deep understanding of SharePoint features, testing methodologies, and accessibility guidelines to ensure that the platform is usable by all, including individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities:



  • Create, execute, and manage test cases, test scripts, and documentation for SharePoint-based solutions.
  • Identify and report defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues and ensure proper functionality.
  • Conduct Section 508 compliance testing to ensure that SharePoint sites and applications are fully accessible.
  • Work closely with developers and designers to address and remediate 508 compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with SharePoint developers, project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure that testing efforts align with project goals.
  • Provide clear feedback to ensure that accessibility and usability considerations are integrated throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Maintain detailed records of test results, defects, and remediation actions taken.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive test reports, including 508 compliance findings, and share them with relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and update testing procedures and methodologies to ensure continuous improvement in testing practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in SharePoint features and accessibility guidelines (Section 508 and WCAG).
  • Recommend best practices for SharePoint testing and 508 compliance based on evolving industry standards.


Qualifications:



  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust 6c clearance.
  • 4-6 years of experience in 508 Testing.
  • Proven experience as a 508 Tester with expertise in SharePoint, and web accessibility standards, including 508 compliance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Active Public Trust 6c.
