About the Opportunity

DMI is looking for a Agile Project Manager/ Scrum Master

As the Project Manager / Scrum Master, you'll have direct client relationship ownership over the successful development, implementation and delivery of client projects and the management of all resources and deliverables of the project teams. Your mission: to effectively lead and manage small to medium sized projects to on-time and on- or under-budget completion. . Seeking someone who is a digitally-savvy, strategic leader who can effectively manage a project on all sides of the fence with a knack for motivating people.

You'll utilize established DMI processes and documents, ensuring quality standards along the way. You'll create, update, and maintain all documentation including charters, work plans, timelines, issue/risk logs and budgets. When changes arise (and they always do!), you will utilize the controls established within the framework, and will manage project scope change management procedures. You will serve as the client's advisor on flexibility and how to adjust as the project progresses, while understanding and relaying the budgetary and schedule impacts to the client to aid in informed decision-making. Last but not least, you'll obtain all signatures related to client sign-off on project documents and deliverables.

Communication is your middle name, which means you'll engage your project team regularly - keeping a positive team environment top of mind. You'll also communicate with the client, project stakeholders, and project sponsors to keep the client and Allegient Partner team up to date. Being a servant leader to your project team members, you'll look to remove roadblocks, boost morale, and ensure each member of your team has what he or she needs to perform at his or her best.

To keep at the top of your field, you'll remain current on delivery methodologies, industry, and technology trends via continuous learning opportunities and professional development involvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Highly knowledgeable and practical expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), execution of Agile ceremonies and events (Sprint Planning, Stand-up, Refinement, etc), Agile artifacts (Sprints, Backlogs) and high level of proficiency in Agile tools (Confluence, JIRA, Visio, Azure Dev Ops, etc.).
  • Manage cross-functional team of Developers, Analysts, DevOps, and QA resources, with experience in leading all phases of the software development lifecycle to ensure development and delivery is aligned with prioritized program roadmap targets and Release Management processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple high profile projects, mange team capacity and dynamics, mitigate risks, escalate and resolve roadblocks and provide transparency and tracking of all project progress and deliverables.
  • Exceptional leader and communicator, adept at fostering team collaboration and cultivating cohesive
  • IT/Business partnerships, with an overarching responsibility to oversee, support and deliver high quality


Qualifications

Education and Required Skills:

  • Master's degree from an accredited College or University or a PMP certification, as well as a minimum of 10 years of specialized experience in the following areas: providing oversight of multi-technical teams, systems development, integration, and sustainment environment, planning and managing tasks sometimes under tight budget and time constraints.
  • In lieu of a Master's degree, Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or
  • University, as well as 12 years of experience in the following areas: providing oversight of multi-technical teams, preferably in a systems development, integration, and sustainment environment, planning and managing tasks sometimes under tight budget and time constraints.
  • Consulting skills such as interviewing stakeholders, facilitating meetings and negotiating skills
  • Experience with ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint retrospectives
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate at a level of detail appropriate for the audience
  • Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills, strong work ethic, self-motivated, and excellent presentation skills
  • Enthusiastic and driven to succeed
  • Ability to work independently, but also successfully work on a team
  • Comfortable working within an ambiguous environment, patiently working to define processes and planning schedule and/or backlog gradually over time
  • Professional persistence - ability to track action items to closure with appropriate levels of follow-up
  • Risk Management experience - establishing probability and impact of risks, creating and executing upon mitigation and contingency plans
  • Detail oriented and sound independent judgment

Location: Primary FT Belvoir, travel to Ft Eustis VA (hybrid)
