What is the opportunity?

The Senior Analyst, Disclosures Management and Risk Governance is responsible for executing the RBC Wealth Management-US (WM-US) will be responsible for executing duties by working closely with the business (e.g., front office, products and services), business support units (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Operations, Business Administration, Technology), and other local and Enterprise business and risk groups as needed.

The purpose of this position is to support Wealth Management U.S. (WM-U.S.) business risk processes and initiatives in accordance with Enterprise, regulatory, industry and business requirements and needs.

This role is a part of WM-US' First Line of Defense disclosures management and risk governance function, and in particular, managing documents throughout the production lifecycle, coordinating materials for key risk committees, and maintaining systems, records and reporting related to disclosures and risk governance to help ensure items are delivered within expected timeframes and requirements.

The Senior Analyst, Disclosures Management and Risk Governance works closely with a variety of partners across lines of business and functional groups to help the firm achieve its business objectives.

What will you do?

  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise with respect to disclosures management and risk committee processes, serving as a key resource for stakeholders participating in those processes.
  • Project manage the production of disclosure and risk governance materials (such as agreements, forms, disclosures, notices, committee meeting materials, etc.) in accordance with corporate and compliance standards, which includes partnering with resources including risk, legal, compliance, marketing, administration, operations, business and various internal stakeholders.
  • Manage documents throughout the production cycle including: preparing for quarterly call for updates, consolidating edits, routing for approval, trafficking with updaters, bundling, and coordinating with printing and publishing resources.
  • Primary responsibility to ensure deliverables are up to date and published on time. Conducting oversight of other stakeholders, holding them accountable to deliver on their commitments to meet shared goals.
  • Create templates, refine and document processes, and build out resource spaces related to disclosures management and risk committee processes in conjunction with key internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate WM-U.S. risk governance committees, including Product Risk Review Committee (PRRC), and Conflicts of Interest Committee (COIC). Assist committee chairs with calendars, agendas, and minutes; assist business partners and presenters with presentations, risk assessments, and other meeting materials; and perform other duties with respect to committee business.
  • Represent the DM&RG team in absence of the Senior Manager as needed.
  • Perform ad hoc duties and initiatives related to other areas of business risk including, but not limited to, risk governance, policy management, and disclosures management.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience. 5-7 years of experience in project management, marketing, trafficking, or product management within wealth management, financial services, or comparable business
  • Organizational skills - Excellent project management and administrative skills; Highly organized, flexible and excel at prioritizing and meeting deadlines. high attention to detail. Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Time management skills - Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in fast-paced and deadline driven environment with multiple competing priorities. Demonstrated ability to be effective in new, ambiguous, unfamiliar situations with limited direction. Action oriented and takes initiative properly.
  • Communication skills - Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills. Strong Microsoft Office skills (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint). Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat. Ability to learn new systems quickly and independently.
  • People skills - Strong interpersonal skills and diplomatic approach to encourage action and obtain information effectively. Demonstrated high proficiency in organizational skills, including the ability to build consensus, influence, and drive coordination, communication, negotiation, and projects across businesses and platforms to achieve expected results. Demonstrated problem-solving skills while working with multiple stakeholders to meet deadlines. Strong team orientation with focus on team success.

Nice-to-have

  • Thorough knowledge of wealth management products and services, processes, and organization. In-depth knowledge of financial products and services.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large projects and/or strategic initiatives.
  • Compliance or legal experience.
  • Experience with Red Oak, including developing and managing workflows. Working knowledge of Adobe In Design and Workfront.

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $65,000 - $115,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
