Duties & Responsibilities:



  • The SCI Information Security Specialist (SCI INFOSEC) shall assist in formulating plans, policies, procedures and other documentation required to deal with the operation of SCI protection functions and activities IAW DoD 5105.21 Volumes 1-3, ICD 704/5.
  • The SCI Information Security Specialist (SCI INFOSEC) shall assist with Staff Assistance Visits and other local inspections as Prepares and presents reports with appropriate corrective actions delineated. This support includes reviewing site documentation and providing recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • The SCI Information Security (SCI INFOSEC) shall participate in the management of Security Information File (SIF) Program. This support includes coordinating security incident reports, collecting, reviewing and analyzing for management review, evidence associated with security infractions violations and other inquiries associated with security enterprise.
  • The SCI Information Security (SCI INFOSEC) shall provide continuous training and guidance in all areas of SCI security [e.g. local procedures, OPSEC, Communications Security (COMSEC), Security Awareness].
  • The SCI INFOSEC shall enforce foreign contact and travel requirements, entry procedures, escort procedures, document control procedures, and classification review/guidance requests.
  • The SCI INFOSEC shall coordinate with Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO) on SCI access for Foreign Nationals as necessary for local mission requirements.
  • The SCI INFOSEC Support shall provide guidance on handling, safeguarding, and marking of SCI classified
  • The SCI INFOSEC shall verify and provide training for requests for SCI courier authorizations, issues those
  • The SCI INFOSEC shall act as an SCI
  • The SCI INFOSEC shall coordinate industrial security procedures as necessary. This includes executing all security aspects of DD 254. Maintain hard/soft copies of DD 254 along with personnel assigned to contract prior to
  • The SCI INFOSEC shall coordinate with Cybersecurity personnel to eliminate potential conflicts among local Personnel Security, Information Security, and Cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • The SCI INFOSEC shall maintain working knowledge of TEMPEST certification and assist the SSO and/or Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in TEMPEST activities. This support includes identification and evaluation of TEMPEST issues and requirements.
  • The SCI INFOSEC shall maintain media control procedures and inventory, including CDs, DVDs, external Data at Rest (DAR) compliant, and hard drives (e.g. inspect logs to ensure no media leaves the ICD 705 Facilities or is destroyed, or is reconciled at the end of the day).
  • The SCI INFOSEC shall prepare and execute required periodic reporting and or audits and
  • The SCI INFOSEC shall assist the ISSM with implementation and enforcement of Cybersecurity policies and programs, maintaining control of SCI systems, supporting user access (e.g. system and credential verifications), and VTC support (e.g. setting up, scheduling, ensuring system is online and operable).
  • The SCI INFOSEC shall send and receive program visit certifications, maintain visitor logs and manage and coordinate Defense Courier Service accounts/activities.
  • The SCI INFOSEC shall develop and maintain a library of applicable SCI security classification
  • The SCI INFOSEC shall perform miscellaneous and administrative support functions as directed by their site lead.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):



  • Ability to professionally interact with customers, colleagues, and command members at all levels and to foster business relationships.
  • This position requires strong task management, excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, and providing a high level of customer services with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.


Minimum/General Experience:



  • Six years of experience in INFOSEC (TS/SCI- Secret) and PHYSEC (TS/SCI- Secret)
  • Experience with alarm and access control
  • Security clearance will be specified by position.


Minimum Education:



  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university and six years of relevant
  • Allowable substitution - High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
