Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm / Monday - Friday

Location: Plant City, FL

Sonoco, Plant City, MRO and Maintenance Coordinator

Job Duties:

  • Purchasing:
    • Order materials for machine repairs and projects, as well as cycle counting of critical spare parts.
    • Inventory and reordering for spare parts and other items.
    • Receive materials into Coupa for invoice processing.
    • Reconciliation of orders/charges.
    • Contact vendors for late deliveries.
    • Put incoming materials away.
    • Package items to send out for repair.
  • CMMS administration:
    • Process Repair Work Orders.
    • Process Preventative Maintenance (PM) Work Orders.
    • Update PM tasks and schedules using information supplied by craftsmen.
    • Generate reports.
    • Analyze data from CMMS for root cause projects.
    • Advanced understanding and upkeep of CMMS system.
  • Planning/Scheduling
    • Assist the primary Planner/Scheduler with day-to-day maintenance planning and scheduling, as well as, serve as the backup Planner/Scheduler when primary person is offsite.
    • Co-lead the weekly maintenance prioritization and outage review meeting with the production group.
    • Effectively communicate maintenance work status to all affected personnel.
    • Kit materials for upcoming jobs.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Active with the Maintenance Excellence pillar and assisting other pillars with their initiatives - e.g. 5S and DTM.
    • Assist with 5S of the maintenance shop, office, and storeroom areas.
    • Develop critical spare parts lists.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of Industrial Manufacturing Equipment Repair Parts & Materials.
  • Ability to quickly develop a proficiency with enterprise purchasing systems such as Oracle, Coupa and CMMS software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and relay information accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Possession of strong administration skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete on a timely basis.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to organize and perform work efficiently, strong attention to details.

Job Qualifications and Education

  • Previous industry related work experience in heavy industrial manufacturing maintenance department.
  • Parts Room and Purchasing experience required.
  • Skilled in Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Able to walk up 2 flights of stairs.
  • Ability to lift package up to 50 LBS as required for shipping/receiving.
  • Work environment is split between parts room, production floor and office environment.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Must submit to drug test and background check.
