OVERVIEW

The function of the Print Manager is to provide necessary technical support and leadership, as well as direct, facilitate, and coordinate the performance, development and improvement of the Print Department, operate 3 Flexographic presses with direct supervision responsibility of 8-10 Print Press Operators. This position has the responsibility of establishing and maintaining a safe, capable, continuously improving, high-quality print operation with a focus on improving equipment reliability at the lowest sustainable cost.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments to ensure the production of products to meet customer specifications, company quality standards, and customer delivery requirements.
  • Recommend and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, safety standards and quality of products.
  • Train, coach and engage employees; appraise performance; provide recognition and accountability; address complaints and resolve problems. Create development/training plans to continue to drive operator performance (KPIs)
  • Actively participate on cross-functional teams to continuously improve methods and processes, including equipment performance, safety standards, and quality of products.
  • Manage Ink and print plate inventory. Understand and manage plate base inventory.
  • Oversee the unprinted paper inventory and manage raw materials needed to support print operation.
  • Ensure proper up-keep of equipment; address and resolve problems; initiate work orders for repairs.
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external suppliers to ensure the delivery, quality, and costs remain in line with internal and external customers' expectations.
  • Work with New Product Development on new products related to the "Tabletop Business" (single serve sugar packets and sticks). Be present for in-house trials to ensure success if needed.
  • Identify and analyze KPIs to drive continuous improvement efforts Partner with Maintenance leadership to ensure equipment reliability. Partner with Supply Chain/Procurement to ensure the department can meet production demand
  • Manage Print department fiscal budget
  • Utilize print expertise to help support other print site print operation as needed
  • Report any risks or any evidence of unsafe or out-of-specification product, equipment, packaging or raw materials, to a designated manager to enable the resolution of issues requiring immediate action.
  • All other duties as assigned



WORK EXPERIENCES



  • 5+ years flexographic or similar print experience preferred.
  • 5+ years leadership experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and develop a team of 10+ associates on a daily basis.
  • Leads by example to create and maintain a workplace culture that engages and motivates associates at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and develop relationships across all levels and functions of the organization to support overall business success.
  • Proven ability to make sound decisions regarding resource utilization and needs.
  • Experience implementing Continuous Improvement tools to improve Packaging & OEE Performance preferred
  • Prior knowledge of SAP, Kronos, and Mii preferred



EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (Engineering, Business Management, Food Science, or Organization Leadership/Management preferred) or equivalent experience.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY



  • This position directly supervises a team of 10+ hourly associates.

SALARY PAY RANGE: $85,500-$158,500 plus bonus



  • The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
