Responsibilities

We are looking to add a Business Systems Analysis Supervisor to our team of professionals.

What you'll do:

In the Product Owner Role (80%):

    Act as an integral member of a persistent Agile development team, contributing to all aspects of product development.
  • Collaborate with team members, CMS, CMS contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders to address legislative and business driven issues/changes to the Medicare program.
  • Work with Business Analysts/Developers to provide technical estimates as requested by CMS.
  • Support the Product Manager/RTE in determining technical staffing assignments and resource needs.
  • Assist in analyzing and designing complex Change Requests (CRs) and breaking down stories and modules for workload distribution among Business Analysts/Developers.
  • Participate in product reviews as necessary.
  • Mentor and guide Business Analyst and Developer team members, fostering technical and professional growth.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical questions, working with the on-call and/or CR teams to resolve issues.
  • Initiates suggestions to improve system reliability and performance.
  • Develop and deliver system area training materials as needed.

In the Supervisor Role (20%):

  • Lead and manage a small team of Product Owners and Business Analysts, providing guidance, direction, and performance monitoring.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and growth of team members.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to provide coaching, support career development, and address team member concerns.
  • Participate in hiring processes, including job postings, interviews, and candidate selection.
  • Onboard new team members, ensuring they integrate smoothly into the team and projects.
  • Manage access and time-off requests for team members and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor team member completion of required training.
  • Monitor and approve team members' Deltek time entry.
  • Participate in periodic performance reviews, including annual reviews, and assist in compensation planning.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 6 years of experience with both Product Owner and or Supervisory/Management.
  • US citizenship is required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Ability to work remote.

Product Owner Role Specific Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills at a level appropriate for customer interaction and visibility.
  • Extensive experience with the MCS claims processing system across one or more system areas.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Experience as a Product Owner, writing user stories and participating in PI Planning activities.
  • Experience working and collaborating with CMS, Medicare Administrative Contractors (MAC's), other CMS System Contractors (CWF, FISS, VMS, IDR, Data Center, MPSM).
  • Exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency with Agile and Scrum methodologies in software development using Jira and Confluence.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Project Management experience desirable.

Supervisor Role Specific Skills:

  • Strong leadership capabilities, including the ability to influence and navigate ambiguity.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on positive team dynamics and collaboration.
  • Knowledge of general administrative functions related to managing staff.
  • Ability to participate in Peraton hiring activities including job posting, interviewing, and selecting candidates in line with corporate procedures.
  • Ability to support new staff members' onboarding and mentor them for long-term success.
  • Ability to execute performance management activities: monitoring performance, providing feedback and coaching to staff, participate in feedback sessions at project close-down or as needed.
  • Ability to identify and correct substandard performance, including assisting with Performance Improvement Plans as approved by Peraton HR and termination of staff for non-performance.
  • Ability to maintain strict adherence to time recording and reporting policies, ensuring timely and accurate time entries for team members.
  • Willingness to learn and effectively use various systems such as Workday, Deltek, Beeline, HRDatabase, iCIMS and CMS designated tools.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
