Job Overview

We are hiring a Senior Cost Accountant to our winning team! Based in Largo, FL and reporting to the Controller, the Cost Accountant serves as a key member of the Finance team with responsibility for various accounting and costing functions.Responsibilities require knowledge of cost accounting, manufacturing processes, generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP) and SAP best practices.

A Day In The Life

  • Support monthly closing and reporting process using SAP and OneStream.
  • Provide monthly variance analysis regarding production costs and department expenses. Prepare and load monthly department forecast and annual budget.
  • Review, analyze and update standard product costs as they relate to material, labor, burden/overhead, BOMs and routings ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  • Provide analysis to support and improve internal and external audits.
  • Assist in managing the cycle count program, annual physical inventories, inventory aging analysis, and Excess & Obsolete valuation.
  • Assist with fixed asset investment analysis as well as controls including verification and valuation.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • BS or Master's in Accounting MBA preferred CMA/CPA preferred
  • 3+ years of Manufacturing Cost Accounting experience
  • Strong hands-on SAP experience a significant plus
  • Strong analytical skills
