Social Media Coordinator

You will be just that thinker who has a tactical mindset and will blend proven methodologies with a spirit of experimentation. You possess a creative flair and a keen awareness of popular culture and the ever-evolving media landscape. Your expertise lies in crafting compelling narratives through a fusion of art, copy, and technology, resulting in captivating digital experiences. You will excel in articulating Peraton's story across various digital platforms, driving tangible outcomes.

In this role, you will be part of the external communications team - an integrated group of professionals who value teamwork and collaboration. Working with your colleagues, you will become a subject matter expert on social media and help propel the function to new heights.

What You Will Do:

Elevate Peraton's Social Media Presence : Build upon the progress achieved in our social media channels to energize, engage, and inspire target audiences, enhancing brand awareness and affinity.
• Provide Constructive Feedback: Collaborate with management and agencies to continually refine and evolve Peraton's social media strategy.
• Participate in Developing a Data-Driven Content Strategy: Work with colleagues to design and implement a comprehensive content strategy informed by data analysis.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with sector communications leads and business leaders to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
• Expand Video and Emerging Media Use: Significantly increase the integration of video and emerging media across social media platforms.
• Drive Audience Engagement: Create compelling content independently and collaboratively with fellow creatives and agencies to foster audience interaction.
• Enhance Brand Awareness: Grow Peraton's brand visibility and provide data-driven insights to stakeholders.
• Capture Content at Events: Attend in-person events to gather and create engaging content.
• Manage Social Media Platforms: Oversee Peraton's social media channels, collaborate with leadership to establish a content calendar 6-12 months in advance, and execute content creation and distribution.
• Trend Awareness: Commitment to staying current with the latest trends and evolving platform algorithms.
• Track and Analyze Metrics: Monitor, evaluate, and report on relevant metrics to support data-driven decision-making.

Required:

• Experience: Bachelor's degree and up to 2 years of managing social content and scheduling, content creation, execution, and campaigns; additional experience in lieu of education will be considered.
• Social Media Management Expertise: Experience utilizing Sprout Social, Sprinklr, or similar social media management and reporting tools.
• Creative Proficiency: Experience working with Canva.
• Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong written and visual communication abilities, along with effective presentation skills.
• Portfolio Submission: A portfolio showcasing implemented campaigns and content that demonstrates your qualifications for this role.
• Platform Experience: Professional experience with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and Glassdoor.
• Travel Availability: Willingness to travel up to 50% for in-person company functions, external events, and other engagements.

Desired:

• Government Contracting Experience: Familiarity with the government contracting landscape.
• Agency Background: Experience in an advertising, public relations, or marketing agency setting.
• Journalistic Approach: A mindset oriented toward journalistic principles and practices.
