Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supervisor (Team Lead) with a strong engineering background and exceptional project management skills. The Team Lead is accountable for achieving PSQTWP (People, Safety, Quality, Throughput, WIP, and Productivity) metrics and managing due outs, product readiness, and the manufacturing process in a NPI (new product introduction) focused team. For the first 6-9 months, the Team Lead will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless product development and launch. Afterward, the role will transition to standard daily production and people management.

Job Responsibilities

* Lead and manage the manufacturing process.

* Develop and maintain the NPI checklist with engineering.

* Drive NPI projects through the Life Cycle Gate Process with Engineering.

* Implement and oversee change management strategies.

* Facilitate cross-functional communication and leadership to align team efforts and achieve project goals.

* Create and sustain a culture of accountability aligned with the company's values

* Provide opportunities for team members to play to their strengths and create ongoing opportunities for learning and personal development.

* Exemplify a safety-first mindset and ensure that health, safety, and environmental policies and standards are applied.

* Lead and develop teams to understand the context, mechanics, and delivery of PSQTWP metrics to meet customer, company, and stakeholder commitments.

* Drive the disciplined and rigorous deployment of the Lean Operating Model (LOM) across assigned areas.

* Actively involved in problem-solving and the management system using a 'Go to Gemba' approach.

* Hold team and functional support staff accountable for adhering to global and site standards.

* Manage a budget and maintain low costs as agreed with the Value Stream Manager.

* Complete assigned company training programs satisfactorily and timely.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent

* 5+ years of experience working in a high volume manufacturing environment

* 3+ years of experience in a supervisor/managerial position overseeing daily operations and people management.

* Proven project management experience in manufacturing or production.

* In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and lifecycle gate management.

* Strong change management and leadership skills.

* Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication.

* Collaborative with engineering and production teams.

* Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.

* Familiarity with industry standards and best practices.

* Leadership experience in manufacturing or engineering.

* Self-motivated to meet and exceed performance metrics.

* Ability to work with various stakeholders.

* Demonstrated ability to lead, engage, train, and develop direct reports.

* Effective communicator and influential team member.

Preferred Qualifications:

* PMP or similar project management certification.

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing and/or a related field.

* Understanding of NPI to include the Life-Cycle Gate process.

* GKN experience.

* Preferred Aviation repair experience.

* Strong team performance with adherence to standardized work and kaizen implementation.

* Experience with a Lean Operating Model/Production System.

* Lean or Six Sigma certification from a reputable certifying body or benchmark company.

Compensation Range

The compensation range for this position is between $85,153 - $106,441.
