Overview

LMI is currently looking for Desk Officers to work on site with our client in Northern Virginia.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include the integration among the Sponsor elements to enable the flow and coordination of mission-driven activities under the direction of the leader of an assigned area. This includes strategic guidance, operational case management, and liaison with members of the Intelligence Community and foreign partners. Should be able to collaborate and coordinate with the assigned team implementing actions and innovating where applicable.

    Lead a wide range of activities to manage a variety of geographic and/or topical issues
  • Provide operational guidance and ongoing research for topics of mission critical importance
  • Direct the tracking of projects
  • Demonstrate an expert level of understanding of a geographic location or topical issue
  • Lead the presentation of briefings
  • Engage in meetings with senior official
  • Conduct in-depth research, design particular classified activities, propose recommendations, and identify the pros/cons of possible operational scenarios
  • Provide in-depth research on issues, and intelligence assessments using all-source and classified information
  • Draft, coordinate, and monitor the production of reports
  • Provide administrative assistance, as needed, in support of field elements and personnel.
  • Candidates will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in classified databases and develop relationships with various operational components to meet the client's requirements.


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or 5 years relevant work experience or formal military training may be substituted in lieu of a degree)
  • Successful candidate must be a strong team player who has solid relationship-building skills, interacts easily with all levels of clients, and possesses outstanding critical thinking, networking, sound judgment, integrity, briefing and writing skills.
  • Support a wide range of operational, administrative and support activities
  • Must possess advanced analytic skills and in-depth knowledge and experience in operational tradecraft and tools to identify access to the information needed to address the most critical U.S. foreign intelligence requirements and find opportunities to disrupt national security threats and enhance ongoing operations.
  • Conduct operational research and analysis on behalf of the Government.
  • Experience in counterterrorism, counterproliferation, counterintelligence counterspace and/or WMD
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience in Sponsor research tools and techniques
  • Ability to analyze data and research results
  • Excellent organizational skills to address complex issues
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office suite

Security Clearance Statement:

  • TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph is required. Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. For this position, LMI will only consider applicants with current security clearances. Please note that only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Qualifications Skills

  • At least 2 years' experience as a Staff Operations Officer (SOO) or Intelligence Analyst
  • Prior overseas experience, including operating in high threat areas
