About the Community Counseling Program

Our Community Counseling Program provides accessible mental health services for individuals, couples, families, and groups, especially those with limited financial resources. We offer services on a sliding fee scale and, in some cases, at no cost, ensuring that all members of the community have access to quality mental health care.

What Will I Do as a Mental Health Therapist?

In this role, you will:

  • Provide in-office counseling services for individuals, couples, families, and groups with diverse diagnoses and demographics.
  • Maintain comprehensive case records, including diagnoses, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Facilitate educational and supportive group counseling sessions, including critical incident response services as needed.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, including regular consultations with a psychologist or psychiatrist.


Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related counseling field (students in their final semester are welcome to apply!).
  • Post-graduate clinical practice (LPC, MFT) or 3,000-hour certification is a plus but not required-candidates about to apply for or currently in-training (LPC-IT, MFT-TL, APSW) are encouraged to apply.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in collaborative teams.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a talent for handling confidential matters efficiently and discreetly.


Salary Range:

$45,000 - $48,000
