What You'll Do as Our Environmental Sales Champion:
- Drive sales success by managing the promotion and sales of Picarro's state-of-the-art stable isotope and trace gas analyzers to top-tier customers in academia, government, and industry.
- Own your territory develop and execute winning sales strategies, uncover new opportunities, and elevate Picarro's presence across geoscience research, air quality, pharma, and beyond.
- Explore new frontiers by identifying untapped markets and applications for Picarro's groundbreaking technology.
- Connect and engage with customers through technical sales calls, on-site visits, product demos, and presence at key conferences and trade shows.
- Craft winning proposals by preparing compelling, technically sound bids for public RFPs and RFQs.
- Stay organized and agile qualify leads, manage customer records, track sales pipelines, prepare quotes, and generate insightful CRM reports.
- Be a pipeline pro play a key role in opportunity tracking, forecasting, and driving predictable growth.
- Partner with the science pros work hand-in-hand with our Application Science and Tech Support teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and lasting satisfaction.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Geosciences or a STEM field - your scientific curiosity fuels your sales acumen.
- 2-4 years of success in technical sales, with a proven track record of hitting or exceeding targets.
- A "startup mindset" resourceful, driven, adaptable, and excited to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment.
- Consultative sales chops you know how to listen, understand, and present tailored solutions that wow customers.
- Exceptional communicator strong presentation skills, technical know-how, and the ability to simplify complex ideas.
- Organized and analytical you juggle multiple priorities with ease, think critically, and solve problems independently.
- Comfortable using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and other sales tools to keep everything humming smoothly.
- Experience navigating the academic and government sales cycle, including a strong understanding of their purchasing and funding processes.
- Bonus points if you've worked with sophisticated analytical instruments - or are eager to learn fast.
- A valid driver's license and the willingness to travel >50% to meet customers where they are and make deals happen.
