What You'll Do



Summary/Objective:

This position is responsible for the direct oversight of DCU's DevOps process, cloud center of excellence, and platform engineering team. This role will provide technical guidance and occasionally project lead for large complex projects as needed. This individual is responsible for fiscal planning and plan adherence of the areas under the individuals responsibility.

* Recruit, develop, and retain staff while building a culture of collaboration, data-driven decisions, and continuous learning.
* Create personalized development plans for members of your team to enable opportunities for growth and new capabilities.
* Develop relationships with our peer teams to ensure alignment on priorities and effective collaboration on projects.
* Partner with our technical leads to solve complicated problems, identify and reinforce technical direction, and establish clear priorities.
* Lead internal projects and initiatives while providing insight into project status and roadmaps.
* Support your team by handling escalations, unblocking impediments, and managing the teams sprints and backlog.
Lead a team of Platform engineers to define, deploy, and run a DevOps practice facilitating rapid iterative deployments
* Assist in defining the vision for DevOps by partnering with development and infrastructure teams across the organization and contributing to the AGILE and SDLC methodologies
* Identify tools and technologies to drive automation and optimization in support of development, testing, and deployment
* Reduce constraints, replace manual or repetitive tasks with automation, enabling faster delivery, and find ways to accelerate technology innovation
* Collaborate with cross-functional team to understand proposed changes, gain alignment with stakeholders, and coordinate appropriate testing and validation.
* Responsible for leading cloud center of excellence
* Manage KPIs for the team, including performance, velocity, and availability
* Responsible for financial governance and optimization of cloud environments
* Partner with Architecture and IT Security to assist in defining standards and strategy
* Mentor and coach team members, leading by example
* Recommend development opportunities for the team to broaden and enhance their skill sets
* Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned



What You'll Need



Education and Experience Requirements:



  • BA in Computer Science/Information Systems or similar, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ Years IT Management experience.
  • * 3+ Years Financial Institution Management experience, preferred.
  • Experience with business continuity and IT disaster recovery frameworks
