We have a remote opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Sr Market Research Analyst on our Strategy- Environmental Intelligence team.

As a Sr Market Research Analyst , you will independently design and execute market
research, user research, and product research projects to provide the AMA with insightful
and actionable strategic and tactical information to support the development of
AMA programs, content, and tools, as well as adoption of AMA offerings within
physician practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Market Research, User Research and Product Research

  • Define research objectives for primary research by understanding AMA priorities and business unit needs
  • Design research instruments and tools including screener surveys, structured and semi-structured discussion guides, moderator's guides, and usability scripts
  • Manage fielding and recruitment of qualitative research and product research including working with sample providers, corresponding with invitees, sending invitations, and scheduling interviews.
  • Program research instruments into digital and online research tools such as UserTesting, Qualtrics, Optimal Workshop, Recollective.
  • Develop and execute participant research protocols that ensure data security and participant confidentiality. This may include developing IRB protocols and creation of participant consent forms.
  • Conduct data collection through moderating in-depth interviews and focus groups with physicians, stakeholders and executives
  • Analyze, code, and structure qualitative data (e.g. verbatim notes, transcripts) using evidence-based practices
  • Create well-designed and detailed research report deliverables that provide actionable, accurate, insightful, and relevant insights to business units.
  • Present reports to leadership, external stakeholders, and internal clients
  • Independently implement programs of research including the planning, scheduling and monitoring of all technical and operational tasks necessary to complete the research program
  • Supervise internal resources or outside suppliers when appropriate.
  • Develop an optimized program of research for assigned clients, integrating qualitative research, user research and product research when appropriate
  • Contribute to innovations within the Strategic Insights team by identifying and implementing best in class user research methodologies, as well as best approaches to embedding equity within corporate research teams.

Internal Relationships

  • With a thorough understanding of the AMA's mission, anticipate research needs of business units and the appropriate methods of research given the business unit's functions and product offerings
  • Consult on the interpretation and recommendations of research, leveraging cross-functional knowledge of other research studies and context within healthcare
  • Manage internal client teams, project logistics and meetings between vendors

May include other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree with a concentration in a Liberal Arts, Social Science, Market Research, Anthropology, Public Health or similar subject required; master's degree preferred
  2. Minimum of five years of market research, user research, or product research experience required. Supplier-side/client-side research experience is preferred.
  3. Experience in the healthcare industry is required.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in user research techniques and ability to assimilate industry advances and developments into projects is required.
  5. Experience executing 3-5 multiple and varied projects concurrently with minimal oversight is required.
  6. Excellence in moderating focus groups, one-on-one interviews or user interviews with physicians, executives or other professionals is required. Formal moderator or facilitator training is preferred.
  7. Training and experience in research design, methodology and analysis also required
  8. Proactive communication, proactive problem-solving, and critical thinking is required.
  9. Ability to interpret research findings and translate into clear and concise reports delivered under deadline is required.
  10. Excellent written and oral communication skills to communicate to all levels of stakeholder.
  11. Experience presenting to leadership and or clients is required.

The salary range for this position is $81,600-$108,120. This is the lowest to highest salary we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to business consideration, geographical location, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
