About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled NDT Level III Inspector to join our team in Prescott, AZ. This is a working Level III position responsible for managing all aspects of non-destructive testing (NDT) operations, including technical oversight, training, auditing, and hands-on inspection. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Magnetic Particle (MPI) and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) and related NDT methods, combined with a passion for quality and leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and oversight for all Level I and Level II NDT personnel.
  • Recruit, select, and onboard NDT staff to meet customer demand requirements.
  • Interpret codes, standards, and contractual documents governing NDT methods.
  • Develop and approve NDT procedures, work instructions, and part certifications for technical adequacy.
  • Conduct training, examinations, and certifications for Level I and Level II NDT personnel.
  • Perform NDT inspections and document results when required.
  • Conduct periodic in-house audits and manage external audits from third parties and customers.
  • Oversee calibration and maintenance of NDT equipment, including test panels and meters.
  • Manage demand and capacity planning for NDT operations to meet business needs.
  • Review production reports to verify NDT requirements and create technique sheets for new products.
  • Ensure compliance with company and customer quality procedures, including NADCAP certification standards.
  • Collaborate on infrastructure maintenance and propose capital improvement projects as necessary.
  • Support other divisions with off-site expertise as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current Level III certification in Fluorescent Penetrant (PT) and Magnetic Particle (MT) Inspection.
  • NADCAP certification experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successfully complete formal training and examinations (Specific, General, and Practical) in compliance with NAS-410 standards.
  • Pass annual eye exams (near vision and color perception).
  • Ability to work in darkened booths for extended periods.
  • Proficient in reviewing and creating NDT technique sheets and operational processes.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Prolonged standing and bending as part of daily activities.
  • Must be self-motivated and dependable.

Compensation & Benefits:

This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $30.00 - $40.00 per hour, based on experience. Expected weekly hours: 40-50. We offer a competitive benefit package, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.

The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on the date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements, among other factors.

Must be willing and able to work onsite full-time in Prescott, AZ. This position is not eligible for relocation.
