Essential Job Functions:


Under the general supervision of a Project Manager, applies skills and knowledge to ensure construction activities are performed by contracts, plans, and ASAP's specifications

  • Performs inspection of engineering drawings and confirms each installation is marked on the project site.
  • Tracks and documents each installation on a clipboard to ensure that the installation of the product is completed.
  • Measures distance of drilled holes and signals to equipment operator when ideal depth has been achieved.
  • Enters daily progress in laptop each evening for PMs review.
  • Completes documentation to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection activities.


Requirements

  • Preference is given to candidates who have a technical - college degree in Geology,Construction, Engineering, Geoscience or Environment Science degree or 1 year of experience in a QC role within the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of simple mathematics including algebra, geometry,
  • Willingness to travel for a project two weeks at a time with a trip home every other weekend. This job is for the "road warrior" who enjoys travel and field construction work.
  • Reliable transportation, current auto insurance, and a valid driver's license required.
  • Computer proficiency - Intermediate level and attention to detail expected to avoid errors incalculation and input into the computer.
  • Must have authorization to work within the U.S.


Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodations)

Must be able to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to fifty pounds on a frequent basis; prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing into equipment is required daily. A full range of arm, hand, and leg motions are required to operate construction equipment. The ability to move throughout the job site. Work is performed outside, occasionally in environments that are dusty, noisy, cold, or hot. Near-vision acuity is required to inspect repairs and maintenance, and read blueprints, manuals, and other similar documents. and adequate far-vision for spotting for approaching equipment.
