ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful candidate will have a technical focus, work under the direction of a senior planner and licensed architect, and participate in delivering services to creatively solve problems.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Effectively collaborate with a project team to support the programming and planning for projects.
  • Implement concepts at a project level.
  • Participate in user group meetings to collect and refine program needs and assess space utilization.
  • Support the translation of planning concepts into comprehensible terms for clients, designers and project team members.
  • Contribute to thedevelopment, modification and/or review of planning concepts and solutions.
  • Assist in development of architectural drawings and specifications to translate planning concepts into project documentation for construction.
  • Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
  • Actively seek new knowledge in the design and planning of facilities.
  • May serve as a point of contact for the client on planning issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree required.
  • Minimum 4 years of related professional experience required. Previous experience performing in a planning role preferred.
  • Must have basic knowledge of Educationplanning guides and codes.
  • Actively pursuing Architectural Registration in the United States preferred.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Must be able to participate the development of projects' technical or design characteristics and content.
  • Strong technical knowledge, coordination skills and the ability to build a rapport with the project team and client is essential.
  • Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam required.

The salary range for this position to be filled in our New York City office is $73,700 to $92,100 annually; actual compensation will depend on the location and experience of the final candidate. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
