Scope of Work:



  • Shipping and receiving: Fill orders for customers, branches and service departments.
  • Box, pack and crate parts as necessary for shipment, prepare shipping documents and load trucks.
  • Process UPS, Fed-Ex and hot shot for shipments including COD and credit card orders.
  • Unload trucks, verify piece count and condition of and check in shipments.
  • Stage parts for shipment or customer pick up as indicated on purchase orders.
  • Stock parts in designated areas.


Primary Job Responsibilities:



  • Fill parts orders for branches, customers and service department.
  • Box, pack or crate parts as necessary for shipment and prepare shipping documents.
  • Stage outgoing shipments in designated areas, notify carries and load trucks.
  • Fill, pack and ship annual parts return orders.
  • Process a large volume of express packages daily including COD and credit card orders using a computerized UPS AND Fed-Ex system.
  • Unload trucks, check condition of freight and verify piece count per freight bill.
  • Unpack and check in shipments per packing list and dispense per purchase order.
  • Stock parts in designated areas and maintain a correct stocking sequence.
  • Arrange parts storage areas to accommodate all stock and maximize storage space.
  • Locate parts in areas to insure efficient handling and filling accuracy.
  • Resolve minor problems with part numbers and quantities received or shipped.
  • Record daily volume of work completed and actual time applied to activity.
  • Will need to work without full time supervision
  • Clean assigned work area daily.
  • Assist in any department needed.
  • Help train new personnel in the department's duties and procedures.
  • Assist with maintaining department files and logs.
  • Assist at will call counter if needed.
  • Assist with all orders that require special handling including annual returns.
  • Promote good welfare among the company and its' divisions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Must have 2 year (s) previous experience.
  • Must obtain High School Diploma or equivalent.


Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's)



  • Must have working knowledge of the above titled position and how it relates to the overall business and its' objectives.
  • Must meet goals and objectives set forth by the company.
  • Must conform to policies and procedures set forth by the company.
  • Must have a current driver's license and acceptable driving record per WPI insurance company standards. (Only if job requires)
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in a Windows based environment.
  • Must be able to lift 100
  • Must be able to bend and twist several times a day.
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours and days.
  • Must be dependable and work independent.
  • Must maintain good client relations.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance.
  • Must promote and maintain a clean, neat and safe work environment.
  • Must have the ability to effectively operate stand up electric fork lifts.
  • Must have the ability to effectively operate 4000 to 5000 lb. capacity fork lifts.
  • Must accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must count accurately and write legibly.
  • Must work quickly and accurately with part numbers.
  • Must meet minimum performance standards for all assignments.
  • Must attend monthly safety meeting and observe all safety rules.
  • Must protect the company assets and interests.


Working Conditions:



  • Typical hours of work Monday through Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Weekend hours as necessary
  • Some temporary adjustments to starting and quitting time as work load requires.
  • Limited outside work
