Our Business Unit Lighting and Imaging offers challenging lighting and image transmission solutions for applications in the markets of automotive, aviation, medical devices, as well as industrial and safety engineering. With production units in Europe, North-America and the worldwide SCHOTT sales organization Lighting and Imaging is a leading supplier for fiber optic components.

Your Contribution
  • Provide technical support for information systems - hardware and software components.
  • Provide direct end user support.
  • Provide administrative support for IT.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve computer systems issues; perform root cause analyses and implementation of
  • corrective/preventative actions to eliminate recurrence.
  • Follow Information Systems processes for incident management, change, configuration management.
  • Support local implementation of Information Systems Projects with support from CIT, Technical service group and Operation Technology group
  • Administer user rights in IT systems (AD, D.3, MES, etc.) in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Participate in continuous improvement process for IT systems and processes; develop and document best practices.
  • Support software and hardware updates and associated process changes.
  • Perform training to ensure proper knowledge of IT by system users.
  • Apply lean methodology to the job.
Your Profile
  • Associates (2 yr) level degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other relevant training.
  • 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and other Windows software.
  • Experience with Computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP Networking.
  • Well-organized and team-oriented, effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment as well as research, absorb, retain and document information.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment maintaining customer service focus.
  • Flexible to work on call hours.
  • Due to the nature of work performed at this facility, US Person status may be required.
