Off-Shift Changeover Technician

Description

Provides production support to all types of manufacturing equipment, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Replaces and maintains machine parts including motors, slides, tool holders, fixtures, as well as electronic or computer parts replacement. Completes or assists with line changeovers.

Responsibilities:



  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Observes and evaluates mechanical devices in operation to locate sources of problems; listens for problems; uses precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
  • Controls downtime by informing/training production team members of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
  • Lead or participate in departmental line changeover.
  • Does analysis and makes recommendations to solve production problems, increase machine efficiency, and reduce scrap.
  • Production line operation support as assigned.
  • Ability to work multiple shifts.
  • Provide coverage for production associates including shift supervisors when requested and authorized.
  • Assists with team member training.
  • Set priorities for assigned tasks


Qualifications:

This job requires a minimum of a technical diploma or associates degree in a related field and 1-2 years of position-related experience, preferably 2-4 years of position related experience.
