Job Summary: The Grants Coordinator will research and write grant applications as well as monitor all grants to ensure compliance with funder requirements as well as State, Federal, and County guidelines. This position will seek and secure outside funding sources for Parks initiatives as well as continued cooperation with engaged stakeholders. The Grants Coordinator is responsible of ensuring that Parks is able to continue to achieve its mission to steward a thriving park system that positively impacts every Milwaukee County Parks visitor and provide high-quality services through leveraging additional non-County funding sources. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of fiscal and budget analysis; oral and communication skills; problem solving skills; mathematical skills; personal computer skills; decision making skills; Familiar working with various funding sources such as Federal and/or State funding; proficient in budget management for capital projects; able to be an active team player in the department. Ability to work independently; and ability to work effectively and harmoniously with Milwaukee County departments and other organizations. Ability to lift, carry, pull, push up to 15 lbs.
